Enamel Workshops 2010

Rachel has just returned from a fantastic weekend in Denmark, where she had been invited to talk and demonstrate her enamel skills to a group of Danish Enamellers at Ravstedhus in Jutland. The weekend consisted of Danish Enamellers from all over Denmark converging to share their experiences and work and to learn from each other, as well as from invited guests. Tom Lundsten, an Enameller based just south of Copenhagen in Koge, organises this annual event and as a result of Rachel's visit, the group are now palnning to link themselves to the UK Guild of Enamellers by forming a new Region.

Rachel has been teaching jewellery and enamelling for over twenty years and runs classes at her workshop in Redditch throughout the year.

The courses provide a relaxed and friendly environment for students of all levels from beginners through to the more experienced, to enjoy learning with the common aim of building on and improving skills.  Please click here for details of current courses and further information.

Guild of Enamellers - Summer Journal

In the Summer 2010 Journal look out for the article Rachel has submitted  'Antwerp Zilvermarkt 2010 sees convergence of European Enamellers'. Rachel tells her story of visiting Belgium, to do a one day Silver Market event in the famous Sterckshof Silver Museum in Duerne, Antwerp. Not only was she and her fellow Silversmith, Brett Payne, the first UK Designers to attend this annual show, but Rachel tells of how she was visited by a group of Dutch Enamellers from the Netherlands Guild of Enamellers too. The day was a great success with plenty of 'Enamel Talk' and before departing, Wim Nys, Director of the Museum added, 'We would be very happy for you to return again next year'.
