In 2008 Rachel will be participating in a major enamel show ‘Playing with Fire’ starting at the Devon Guild in their refurbished Water Mill Gallery in Bovey Tracey and then touring the UK through until 2010. Rachel was one of only a dozen Enamellers in the country to be chosen to contribute work.

Enamel Workshops 2008

Rachel has been teaching jewellery and enamelling for over twenty years and has been running her own classes at her workshop in Redditch since 2002.

The courses provide a relaxed and friendly environment for students of all levels from beginners through to the more experienced, to enjoy learning all with the common aim of building on and improving skills. Chairmanship of the Guild of Enamellers

The Guild of Enamellers is a national association with seven UK regions and many overseas members, whose aim is to promote the craft of enamelling. At the Guild’s annual Conference in March, Rachel will be taking on the Chairmanship for 2008/9 as well as running one of the conference workshops. Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Council Awards

In 2007 Rachel won the Silver Award in the Senior Enamellers section for her Purse Mirror at this prestigious annual event. At the Awards Ceremony at the Goldsmiths’ Hall she received her award from the Prime Warden. For more details go to www.craftanddesigncouncil.org.uk/index.html
