As part of the Craft and Design Council’s programme to promote excellence amongst all engaged in the Trade, these awards recognise technical and design skills and are considered the Oscars of the Jewellery Industry

2009 - Silver Award - Jewellery & Precious Metal Category craft&design Magazine 'Selected' Awards

The ‘Selected’ online Gallery is a Prestigious showcase of work by Designer Makers in Britain and to win an award requires a significant public vote in support of an individuals work.

Chairman of the Guild of Enamellers, 2008

2008 - Chairman of the Guild of Enamellers

A three-year role (Vice chair, Chair and Retiring Chair), the Chairman leads the Guild of Enamellers in its aims to encourage and promote the craft of enamelling and the work of it’s members. A major part of the role is to organise and lead the annual AGM and Conference.

2007 - Silver Award - Enamel section Goldsmiths' Craft Council Awards

2005 - Commission Goldsmiths' Permanent Collection The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths'

An exciting project to design and produce 60 silver and enamel bow brooches for the Prime Wardens Ladies Dinner, with one of the brooches going into the permanent collection.

2002 - Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths

2001 - Founder Chairman Solihull Artists Forum

An organisation established to promote the visual arts in Solihull, working with the SMBC (Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council) to develop an Arts Strategy bringing together local artists to promote their work, create opportunities to sell it and work with the community.

1998 - Winner BPW UK Diamond Jubilee Competition

The Business and Professional Women UK Ltd set a brief to design a logo for their Diamond Jubilee year, to use on all their promotional material and to also produce a range of jewellery for members.

1994 - Arts Advisor Yorks and Humberside Arts Council

An invitation to sit on the board as a Selector, as a one-year post, for the allocation of grants available to designer makers within the region for development of work and funding towards events such as Chelsea Crafts Fair.

1992 - Founder President BPW York

As a member of the Business and Professional Women UK Ltd, I along with a group of women decided to initiate a club in York.

1990 - Commission: The Lord Mayor of York

The design and production of a range of jewellery (earrings, stickpins and cufflinks) based on the White Rose of York, to be presented to all the Mayor’s visitors to the Mansion House in his year of Office.

1989 - First Impressions Awards Scheme, Eastern Arts Association, National Trust and Anglia TV

A fantastic initiative to promote 10 craftspeople within the East Anglia Region for one year, makers had to be selected and then were given business training, exhibition opportunities, trade and retail show stands (Harrogate Craft Fair and Chelsea Crafts Fair) and finally featured on an arts TV programme.
LiveWire Award

1988 - Regional Winner Livewire Business Awards, East Anglia

A prestigious business award, which involved producing a business plan and presentations to a panel of judges as well as to an invited audience of three hundred delegates.

1986 - Graduated BA (Hons) Degree Middlesex University

After completing a 4 year course.

1986 - Commission: The Platinum Corporation

Design work selected and then produced in platinum (by the designer). Shown at the Platinum Corporation Stand at IJL.
