
Rachel has been teaching jewellery and enamelling for over twenty years and has been running her own classes at her workshop in Redditch since 2002.
The programme of workshops for 2011 will include dates throughout the year and further dates will be added as they are confirmed. The courses provide a relaxed and friendly environment for students of all levels from beginners through to the more experienced, to enjoy learning all with the common aim of building on and improving skills.
Most workshops are one-day programmes. However, courses can also be tailor made for specific requirements for small groups, please enquire for full details.
2011 Prices £125.00* per student per day.
All one-day courses start at 10am and finish at 5pm.
Price includes cost of tuition; use of enamels, tools and equipment and in some cases sample pieces to enamel. Tea/coffee and biscuits supplied, students to provide their own lunch.
To book a place on any course, either email or telephone to check availability. A deposit is required for all bookings. Details of the day, including directions to Winyates Craft Centre will be supplied on confirmation of booking and receipt of deposit.

Learn how to prepare and use engraving tools to cut recesses and create texture/patterns on metal which can then be enamelled. Students need to bring along their own gravers and advice can be given beforehand as to what gravers and other tools you need to bring.
Wet laying and blending enamels to give subtle colour changes will be demonstrated. Stoning back will also be covered. Preparation of colours and metal will also be covered. Students can bring along their own work if they wish, sample pieces are available for beginners.
